- ** HEALTH INSURANCE SCAM ALERT **This was yet another automated robo-call about how they've granted me a limited time to enroll in their health insurance plan. The recording starts by saying "Don't hang up, this isn't a sales call" and starts a sales pitch about how I have a limited enrollment period to sign up for their plan. The recording starts the instant I pick up, before I even say hello. I've tried pressing 1 to get to a live person or 2 to get off their list, but the line hangs up before I'm connected. They never mention the name of the company or any other identifying information.Since these people obviously won’t stop calling, I wonder if it’s time to take more direct action. I’ve seen suggestions on other sites about blasting an air horn into the caller’s ears. Normally I wouldn’t say to do that because they could sue you for hurting their ears. However, if they sue, you can get their real information and everyone can counter-sue them for the thousands of do-not-call violations.My cell phone is on the FTC and State of FL do not call list.
