- got a call from them saying i had tax fraud and had to pay today or they would send police to my house and be arrested and spend up to 6 months in jail while the IRS reviews my account. i got the same female voice mail and when i called back i got some one asking my name and to verify my address. I complied with his request, but that is where i stopped. they said i had an audit done on my taxes and they found a mistake from 2010. i laughed and said then its the fault of the company that filed for me because i have a signed statement that it was certified and they were responsible for any mistakes. that and i know the IRS would not come after me with jail time for $3000 they would have just took it out of my taxes the following year. i hope by confirming my address and phone number they can not mess with anything else. time to keep a close eye on all my accounts. good luck catching these idiots. good luck everyone.
