Scammer trying to use the trick below:We wanted to alert our clients and friends of a scam being perpetrated against the unwary -It starts with a cold call to you or your office and the placing of a large order for whatever you produce or supply. The "buyer" then gives you a credit card number and expiration date and possibly the security code. The "buyer" then states the they want the items shipped overseas and provides an international number for a shipper to be used. When the items are complete your call to the shipper results in a demand for shipping fees to be wired and they provide a confirmation number and shipping bill of lading number. You have then been scammed for your costs or production and the actual dollars you have sent to the scam artists bank overseas. You should be very careful in accepting Credit Card orders over the phone from unknown persons- you have complete exposure for the charge backs.Additionally prepaying for shipping, especially overseas, is very risky. Not only are you loosing the funds, but you are exposing your account numbers and bank names and coordinates.
